Witness update - 2017/10/30
Hello Steemians!
It has been quite some time since my last witness update, so I thought it would be good to let you all know what is going on at my side of being a "Backup-witness".
I have been a witness for a few months now, and in this time I have learned a few valuable lessons...Most of these lessons were experience gained in maintaining my witness server, but also in learning the true aspect of steemit, which is engaging more with the communities within the platform.
Witness details:
Currently, I am at rank #96 out of the top 100 witnesses as seen on Steemdb.com, and I have been producing around 1-2 blocks per day with not many issues. I have however missed a total of 8 blocks in my time of being a witness, but this was mostly due to the high latency network I have currently available.
I am in the process of moving my node to a more reliable VPS service where block misses will be minimized.
This is currently my witness details,
- 65536 max block size
- 1% APR
Activities as a witness and goals:
About two months ago the @qurator project was launched by @scrooger and myself to help reward hardworking content creators.The main goal of this project is to bring a lifetime of support to minnows and to create a fun community for users to engage more with their fellow steemians by showcasing their posts to the community

We are looking to grow this project larger both with members and Steem Power to grow an active community filled with quality content creators which get well rewarded for their hard work.
Currently, most of my own Steem Power has been delegated to other steemians, but as this is returned to me, most of it will be delegated towards this project.
There has not been any other excitement on my side, but I am planning to try and bring out these witness updates at least once a week. Thank you for all the support and voting on my witness.
