Matthew 19:8

8.He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

The Pharisees were one set of people that just knew how to tempt Jesus. They just wanted him to say something they could hold onto to nail him. The were all out for him but thank God for Jesus who always have a way of shutting them up.

This faithful day, they ask Jesus one trickish question about divorce. They wanted Jesus to agree that divorce should be practice amongst believers, they thought they could talk him into it but they failed.
When they wanted arguing about it telling him Moses gave them a free hand to go with divorce. Jesus told them that if at all Moses did that, it was due to their stiff neckedness.

Divorce is not good at all and so it should be avoided, all you need is to marry in God's will. Jesus said that "but from the beginning it was not so"
If Jesus said it was not so from the beginning then it should be avoided.
As Christians divorce should not be heard amongst us. It should not be an option.
No matter what happens learn to forgive your partner.

A broken marriage is a broken family, broken community, broken Church, broken country and all of sort.
Children that are raised by single parents takes the grace of God to be stable in life.
Where I come from it takes the grace of God for a man to marry a woman that both parents are divorce, same as a woman marrying a man from a divorce home.

I repeat it should not be heard amongst Christian.
