How much silver goes into a bath ? Let's take some silver and do the math.
I know there are more urgent problems in the world but today I wanna know how much silver goes into a bath.
So how do we calculate this?
Step 1: Calculate the volume of the bath.
I arrived at : 150 cm long * 60 cm wide * 40 cm deep = 360,000 cm3 (cubic cm or 360 liters)
Step 2: Pile up some silver in a rectangle and calculate it's volume
Below little stack of 266 troy ounces measures 20 cm * 14 cm * 10 cm = 2800 cm3 (or 2.8 liters) and weighs 8.3 KG
The outcome
The bath can contain 360/2.8 = 128.57 of these rectangles meaning "34200 troy ounces" or "1063 kilo".
~With a price of 14.5 USD per ounce this is 495.900 USD.~
