It's a healing plant but you may not know
The Healer in Your Backyard
You might probably walk by this plant without thinking of the benefits it might bring to you. I've been reviewing so many plants that are at my compound to a point someone saw me as a botanist. I do like to understand the use of these plants especially from a medicinal standpoint. But isn't it a pity that the solution to a problem is there and the lack of knowledge can let you ignore it.
There's a saying in my country.
The leaf that'll heal you may be at your backyard.
This plant has been successfully applied in treating joints inflammation and arthritis for years, and not because some brand has promoted it, because it helps and this fact is more important than a pill that many of us take today. I don't downplay the effectiveness of pills, but I do think that there's a chance nature has designed a solution to a problem we just have to figure it out.
Handle with Care
What should be remembered about this herb, though, is that you have to deal with it properly. Boiling or drying leaves to the state of complete dryness is necessary since the plant stings. If you haven't paid attention to it in real life you can see from the photos.
If you ignore this detail, you will be burning yourself from inside, literally.
Preparation and Benefits
Ingesting a stinging nettle is pretty simple, use the water in which you boil the plant leaves as a tea. This tea helps with gout, which is more of the process of purifying uric acid from the body. And when it comes to gout, flushing is precisely what you need.
Another thing that you should know to really consider this herb is that it's actually abundant in iron and calcium. Those having problems with either bone density or blood iron level should try cooked leaves to solve the issue. The stinging plant also helps with lowering blood sugar. This makes it a remedy for two or more issues that has a habit of showing up in some people's body simultaneously.
Safety First
I don't make this an option it's a must that you wear gloves when you're handling the plant during the harvesting time. I don't even body touching it because it could hurt or itch because of the acid contained in the stinging hair.
I'll share more herbal plants so in case you spot them, you appreciate and recognize the value of them.
