How are you all? I hope everyone is living a healthy and happy life. I feel truly thankful for each new day and sincerely thank Allah for this beautiful blessing. Today, I am excited to participate in the wonderful contest “The Daily Menu: Delicacies Week #107” 🎉. I am very grateful to the Steem Iron Chef community for arranging such an engaging and meaningful contest. It gives us a great platform to share our favorite dishes and cooking experiences. I’m happy to present my daily menu and hope you enjoy these dishes as much as I enjoyed preparing them.
My mother used to make panjiri at home with plenty of dry fruits, and it has always been a special winter treat. It is loved by everyone, young and old. Today, I had hot jaggery milk with my mother’s panjiri for breakfast. It was not only delicious but also very nourishing.
This breakfast gives instant energy and keeps the body warm in cold weather. The dry fruits add strength, and jaggery milk helps with digestion and immunity. Panjiri made by my mother feels extra special because it is prepared with care and love a healthy homemade breakfast that satisfies both body and heart.
After that, I helped my mother in the kitchen and prepared chicken pulao for lunch. I don’t add many spices, so everyone liked its light taste. I cooked the food and served it to my family, and we all sat together at the table to eat. We shared laughs, talked about our day, and enjoyed the meal as a family. Cooking is special to me because I learned it from my mother, and these moments in the kitchen and at the table make our family time even more precious
In the evening, I took some time as the weather had become very pleasant. I made pakoras, and along with them, I picked fresh eggplants growing in our home garden and prepared tikkis from them. Everyone enjoyed the eggplant tikkis even more than the potato ones.
We sat together and enjoyed these snacks with tea, talking and laughing as the cool breeze filled the air. The fresh vegetables from our own garden made the food taste even better. Moments like these good weather, homemade snacks, and family time make the day feel complete and truly special.
In the night, I made myself a cup of Qehwa, which I drink almost every day. It is very light and helps with digestion, even when taken at night. I only add a few simple ingredients, and it gets ready in just a few minutes.
Along with the qehwa, I brought brownies home that one of my cousins had given us. I served them in two bowls with different flavors and enjoyed them with my Qehwa as my night dessert. It was a calm and relaxing moment, perfect for ending the day on a sweet and comforting note.
