Not only in the form of peusijuek, the traditional behavior of the Acehnese people also exists in the form of marriage ceremonies. As with Peusijuek, the tradition of marriage ceremonies has been going on for generations. Tradition is an order and mechanism that a person must go through in the process of building a household since a mate search, marriage, and sitting at a wedding event.
The meugatip activity was then followed by the inauguration of the marriage / walimatul ursyi. Marriage inauguration is held on the day agreed upon by both parties. Usually a good day and month are chosen according to local custom. For the general public, the time is usually chosen after the rice harvest. There are also some people who choose the day and month of marriage after the month of Hajj so that none in that area is found married in the month of Hajj. This is because there is a public belief that getting married in that month can make the age of marriage not last long. That is why, in determining the wedding month, the month of Hajj is called the hot moon.
The procession stage in the inauguration of the wedding includes the preparation, implementation, and completion of the day. In connection with preparation, the Dara Barô performed various household preparations, festivities, how to gaca, manoe pucôk for the virgin barô. The lintô barô party prepares peuneuwoe lintô, intat lintô events, and festivities at the same time with the program of tueng dara baro. The feast of marriage for both the lintô and the barô virgin took place on the same day. In certain areas the intestine of the lintô is done at night. However, this is usually done if the lintô place is not too far from the domicile of the barô virgin. The tueng dara barô program was held a few days later and was usually women's business.
