SEC-S17 /W2| "What If I Were The President Of My Country?"
I never dreamt of being on that hot seat, yeah I meant to become the president of Nigeria but if I were to be one my top priority would be to better the lives of Nigerians by focusing on good governance, creation of job opportunities, developing good infrastructures both in educational and health sector. I would also work to protect and promote the fundamental human rights of my citizens, and I will ensure that the rule of law is always upheld.
My Number One Priority Would Be To Improve Our Economy: We are facing serious economic instability, our economic system is deteriorating daily, so improving the system will bring stability and prosperity to Nigeria. I will focus on policies that will encourage investment this creating jobs.
2) Ensuring National Security: Right now insecurity has been the order of the day in my country, so as a leader, I would prioritize National Security by making sure the necessary resources are provided to protect Nigerian citizens and boundaries.
3) Improving Education: * The importance of education cannot be overemphasized, it is an essential element of any successful and sustainable society. As a president I would choose to channel resources to education, investing in infrastructure such as innovating educational facilities and training the teachers.*
Other priorities include protecting citizens rights, improving health care and combating climate change, etc.
I will take several steps and some specific actions to ensure that both educational and health care systems are improving these steps may include:
Education:
a) Making sure that I increased the education budget by increasing government funding toward the education sector to improve training facilities of teachers' infrastructure and educational technology.
b) Scholarships programs: this will give brilliant but needy students access to quality education.
c) Teacher training programs: I will make sure teachers or being trained and retained on online teaching and modern technology this will enable them to deliver quality education to students.
Health Care:
- I will make sure that they are adequate infrastructure in health centers all around our country with modern medical equipment and technology.
- I will increase the healthcare budget as these will offer people the opportunity to access quality healthcare services.
- I will establish more health centers in rural areas and also provide mobile medical facilities to provide healthcare assets to remote places.
- I would also encourage research and development throughout discovering cures to some of my country's local diseases.
As I said before that seat is hot, and it comes with big challenges and some may include:
1) Free images of Corruption: Nigeria is known to be one of the most corrupt countries in the world so tackling corruption will surely be a challenge.
2) Insecurity: the level of insecurity in Nigeria is very high we are battling with kidnapping banditry, terrorism, and other uncountable forms of criminalities that have led to the loss of properties and life. So this too will be a challenge.
3) Poverty: Most citizens are living below the poverty line so addressing this problem will be a challenge. it will require a sustained effort to boost our economy and invest in citizens.
4) Poor infrastructure: Our roads and airports are in bad condition does require heavy investment for improvement.
5) Ethnic And Religious Tension: Nigeria is a multi-ethnic/religious country, and numerous times this has led to periodic clashes and violence.
6) Governance Issues: Nigeria has been struggling with issues like transparency accountability and effective savings delivery for so long so improving this condition will be a challenge.
To change the course of Nigeria's history I will prioritize and invest in education. Right now we are facing challenges like poverty, inequality, and corruption but through education citizens will be enlightened, they will learn skills and knowledge that will uplift their standard of living, participate in governance, and contribute to the Overall improvement of our economy.
I believe that a focus and education could eradicate or at least reduce poverty increase employment opportunities and aid in building a more resilient and stronger democratic society. A good education will reduce inequalities and create a more equitable nation I believe that this improvement could affect Nigeria's future positively and ultimately change the cause of Nigeria's history.
In conclusion I'm confident that prioritizing the well-being of Nigerians, making sure of good governance, and focusing on economic growth, sustainable development, and human rights can make Nigeria a better and prosperous nation. I do not doubt that I can make significant progress toward building a brighter future for all Nigerians.

Most of the countries are those whose economy is not good. We need to fix this because when our economy goes down, our country goes down with it. Our country will not develop. Similarly you have noticed another point in which you have talked about security. National security is very important because if we are not safe inside our nation then what will we do outside and will we talk with them. So we have to improve the security within our nation. And so is education which is a main factor to make our country successful. Because if we have education, we can conquer this world with the help of this education. I think education should be made public in those areas where the value of education is absolutely zero, we will start our education from there. Similarly, when you take part in these activities, you will face many difficulties. You have to bear these difficulties with patience and stick to your work. you're not far from the Truth, in every election, they promised to be accountable, free education and social amenities, but when they are in power, they couldn't fulfill their promise. from my own point of view, it will be hard to tackle all the problem we have in Nigeria be it,; insecurity, kidnapping, no job, bad road, poverty so on. from your entry you have analyse what you'll do if you're elected as a president like good education system, improving the economy. good luck @goodybest.
