Steemit Culinary Challenge #14 Mushrooms
My entry for the mushroom contest is Sweet and Sour Chicken Livers with Mushrooms.
The ingredients for this dish are:
chicken livers
butter or oil
chopped bell peppers
chunk pineapple
chopped onion
minced garlic
minced ginger root
sliced mushrooms
chicken broth
vinegar
brown sugar
soy sauce
corn starch
steamed rice
This dish is prepared in a skillet on top of the stove. It is a good way to get picky eaters to try liver, which is so good for you.

Thanks, em3. I like liver, too. Liver is one of those things ya either love or hate. Licorice, being my only hate food, is much loved by many, but I just shudder at the thought. Maybe if I cook it in sweet and sour......

Thanks, pennsif. This is the first time I have done a challenge. I looked at some of the entries in prior challenges, and I surely do not have the "exotic flair" some of them have. I am just plain ole home-style, but once in a while I get a flash of inspiration. (Oh, my goodness. My sweet husband is sitting here beside me and as I typed this he said my cooking is always wonderful and inspired) I did a YT video about my regular home-style cornbread dressing and a recipe I had never done before. (Crock-pot Dressing) and we did a taste test. He chose mine over the crock pot and I said in the video "Smart husband" lol. I judged the competition a draw and told a story of what I told my daughter one time. I compared the beauty of I Dream of Jeannie and Wonder Woman. So I commented that one dressing was I Dream of Jeannie Dressing and the other Wonder Woman Dressing. A commenter said "Wonder Woman Dressing. I love it."
So, I edited the title on the video to Wonder Woman Dressing. It gets some laughs.

ah yes-some veal liver slightly flour dusted sauteed in butter with some onions-you're absolutely right there-making me hungry :-)
