'Antipopulis' - New Original Music - Another Random Creation/Song Idea - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough
Here's another random creation,
which came together last night. I think there are some good ideas here, though Tracks 1 and 10 need perhaps a different instrument; Track 1 pulsates to a quarter note rhythm (we're mapped in 4/4), but the arpeggiated synth that comes in after is in 3/triplets, and they clash a little bit, so I think something there needs to be tweaked. However, I think its worth sharing this idea as is, so I can make some more updates as I work on it. I know I've got quite a list of other tracks that need to be finished up and posted about, but I'm gonna stick with this one first, so I don't move on and just add more to the 'to-do' list.
Listen to Antipopulis here.
Track 1 (and 10) provide
the basic chords, along with some extra extensions on top. We're in F#major, and mostly stick to diatonic stuff, though in both the A (green) and B (pink) parts, there is an E natural, the bVii. The B part plays 1x through the first time, 2x the second, and 4x at the end as the song fades out. Track 2 is the aforementioned arpeggiated synth, which provides the 3 feel. I'll definitely find better synths to fit around this, as I really like that feel. With the synth basses in Track 4 and 5, it has an awesome vibe. All the subsequent tracks are little plucks, or harmony lines, which just add some more textures over (mostly) the B sections.
Tracks 1 and 10, Main Chords.
Track 5, Synth Bass #2, used for A and B parts.
Hope you like today's song idea! Stay tuned and we'll see what it becomes!
