'Dänse2' - New Original Music - More Experimentation w/ Xfer Demos and Sounds - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough
This idea came together last night
while I was building a drum rack using the various new samples included with the Serum demo. I built a basic beat (Tracks 2 and 3), then recorded it into an audio clip, with some new warp delay effects (Track 4). Track 5 provides a different version of that audio clip, where I warped a number of transients to create a very strange sound, which works for the more sparse breaks. I didn't spend much time mixing-wise, so that'll be the next step, and perhaps expanding the song a little bit.
Listen to Dänse2 here.
Track 5 is the first track
which provides our basic chord progression: Bmin, BminAdd9, C#dim, and G for the first 4 bars, then Bmaj7, Bmin7, C#dim, and G again, before repeating. Track 10 also plays these chords, with a different synth, as does Track 13 and 14, both of which are audio recordings of the chord progression with various effects/pitch bending. Tracks 6 and 7 work together to create our bass line, with Track 6 providing the thumpy bass synth, and Track 7 an electric piano, which gives it more definition. I really love this rhythm and the way it works with the drums, super funky and strange. The rest of the tracks add the various little accents and textures throughout.
Track 6, Piano, Chords.
Tracks 7 and 8, Bass Synth + Electric Piano Doubling.
