'LABSELLO' - New Original Music - More Playing Around w/ LABS Instruments (Amplified Cello Quartet, etc.) - Electronic/Soundscapey + Walkthrough
I wanted to try out some more
of those new instruments I recently downloaded for Spitfire Audio's LABS, and this is the result from a little bit of playing around last night. I used a number from the 'Amplified Cello Quartet' set, along with a few older synth sounds from LABS, and a few from the libaries I got when I purchased my ROLI Seaboard keyboard (Equator and Strobe2). I also incorporated some percussion from the LABS 'Tundra Atmos' set I mentioned yesterday, which provide the super reverby, clicky rhythm in the background for the second half of the tune.
Listen to LABSELLO here.
The song is essentially made of
two parts, Pink (played 2x) and White (1x), which just repeat two full times. In the Pink, we begin on our tonic of Eb(minor), then move down to Bb. In the White, we start on the iv (Ab), and move up to the Vii (Db). Tracks 1, 2 and 3 use the Cello Quartet, but the few afterwards come from random other LABS sets, providing a subby low end, and some weird synth sounds. Track 8 is the 'Forest Sticks' from Tundra Atmos, which provide the percussion.
Track 1, Cello Quartet: 'Tension' Instrument.
Track 7, Equator Synth.
Hope you enjoy the exploration of these new sounds! Thanks for listening!
