'Nein' - New Original Music - Another 20 Minute Timed Songwriting Challenge - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I did another timed challenge last night

just to see if it pushed me towards anything cool, and I like the idea here. I think it is a bit sparse, and there is no bass as I didn't get that far, but I think this could be turned into a pretty sweet little tune. I also spent WAY too much time screwing around with the hihats, which I recorded to an audio clip, then chopped up, slowed down, pitched up, etc. It's a SUPER small effect, so probably wasn't worth the 8 minutes I spent on it, but it was fun, lol. We are also in 9/8 here, which I thought would help force me to at least create something rhythmically more interesting.

Tracks 1 and 2 provide the basic chord

progression outline (though its just dyads), beginning on C, to G, to F, and Dmin, then Amin, Dmin, and two bars of G. Track 3 adds some layers of harmony to those, filling out the chords with a little synth string part. Track 4 is the hihat clips, and Track 5 a beepy, twinkly sort of arpeggiated synth that comes in at a few points. Track 6 is the plucky melody, which has an awesome pitch bend at the end that falls into the next sections. Finally, we have our drums, with kicks in Track 7, snares in 8, and a second hihat with a bitcrusher in Track 9.
