'The Haunted Spirit (Final Version)' - New Original Music - Submission for Splinterlands Music/Lore Contest! Electronica/Instrumental + Walkthrough!

After previewing this new
version in the car and with some alternate headphones, I think it's basically finished, and is my official submission for this week's Splinterlands Music/Lore Contest. I wanted to change the drums in the B section (previously referred to as the "heavy" section), so I added two new tracks, but they wound up just being used for little accents, which sorta filled things out a bit more and I think added the final touches I was looking for.

As you can see in the preview,
I've marked the two sections, A and B, so I don't have to refer to them by weird names based on their sound or intensity, lol. Track 2 is completely fixed, I just set all the velocities at max. Originally, this was going to just be a solo piano song, which would've need some velocity changes throughout to make it sound realistic, but with the more digital drums and synths here, I think it works well as is.

B section, Track 2.
I also realized that there
is another way to analyze the progression. I wrote it, and have been viewing it, as if we're in Bminor, but because I use some modal interchange, we have an Ebmin and Abmin, which could make this feel like we're in Ebminor, and begin each section on our minor six (Bminor). I don't feel it this way, as I had an entirely different framework in my mind from the beginning, but I realized that definitely could be a way to hear/analyze this.

I adjusted the volumes
on the snares in Track 4, just so they aren't as loud and fit with the rest of the drum mix. The bass also got a compressor added, sidechained to the kicks in Track 8, just so they can cut through a little bit, without losing the harmonic effect of the bass. I think maybe something like bells/spacey beepy synths might be good to add to this eventually to fill in the beginning of the B sections, but for now, I'm submitting it in this current incarnation.

That's pretty distressing I like it :)
thanks! appreciate the listen!
