I was a bit bored of the stuff I was

Track 3, Bass, A Part
working on a few nights ago, so I figured I'd do another quick, five minute timed writing challenge and see what I came up, and this is the result. It's a pretty simple thing, but I think the chord progression is cool, and has the potential to be turned into a more complete song in the future. There isn't a lot going on; 2 piano tracks (one with regular chords, one with those same chords reversed), a bass synth, then 3 tracks for the drums, which I did separately to use different sounds from different kits. I was thinking perhaps tonight I would take this progression, and see if I can't build something more interesting around it, so if that happens, I'll be sure and do an update post in the next few days!

Track 1, Green Section (A Part).

Listen to Yaze here.

The chords in Tracks 1 and 2 (using the 'soft piano' from LABS)

Track 3, Bass, B Part
are divided into two parts: A in Green, and B in white. The A section begins on an Fmin, then moves to Cmin7, to Gmin, and finally F#min. The B section starts on Cmin, to Eb7, then Gmin again, and finally Bbmin. This constant minor chord move reminds me a little of Radiohead (not nearly as cool, of course, just in the use of weird chord progressions), so I was thinking of really embracing that idea in whatever form this takes in the future. The bassline sticks to root notes over the A part, but over the B section, does a little descending Eb to D to C line over some of the chords, which helps tie them together, despite their disparate sound.

A bit of a random, short, tiny creation, but I had 5 minutes, so I'm good with it! Enjoy!
