Guy

This is one of my favourite dogs and one of my favourite works of art.

The artwork was done by my sister in law and here is a link to her Steemit post of some years ago.

Guy belonged to my father and I got to see him possibly more days of his life than not. At 70 kilograms he was a large German Shepherd with a truly amazing temperament. A more gentle dog I've known, but only one.

My Dad had to shoot him at the end of his life to allay his suffering, which was a devastating thing for a man who fed the ants, the mice in his room and I'm certain loved animals at least as much as humans.

This pastel work is a perfect reflection of his majesty and I have always admired it.
