THE DIARY GAME: 13/8/2020: WORK AND PLEASURE

Dear Thursday diary,

I woke up to prepare for work just like other days. After taking my breakfast of rice and plantains, I took some pictures and left for the office.

At office by 9:25 a.m. I was pretty late today. So, I opened my PC to check the audit report I was to submit to the quality manager.

I did not get feedback from my audit team members and I would not like to write my report without their input, so I had to hold on.

I went to meet each of them for their input, but there were all busy with tender. The tender needed urgent submission to client for a job. So, I understood with them.

In my department, that’s quality department, my lead, Mr Chika is the one handling tender, so I was a bit free today.

I had to chat with Nigerian steemians online. I got two more entries to the STEEM NIGERIA CONTEST: STORY OF MY LIFE from @ogejoy and @botefarm.

I took time to encourage some people that are getting discouraged because their posts are not yet visited by @steemcurator01. What I did was to share testimonies of two people in my team whose posts have all been curated, that’s @senicbliss and @unyime.

They all got excited and promised never to give up.

By 1:35 p.m. I took my lunch of indomie noodles and eggs. These days I’m trying to eat light foods to avoid having big stomach.

After lunch, my cousin, Mr Otobong, asked me to join him to go check the new apartment he rented close to the office. Otobong is working with us as procurement officer.

When he told me his sister, Blessing is there, cleaning the place, I could not resist going.

I have not seen Blessing for four years. She had refused to visit me since I asked her to tell me about her fiancée, such a shy girl.

So, we walked to the place and she saw me by surprise. You can imagine the shout and hugs.

I took her to my office and introduced her to everyone as my new sweetheart. They were all surprise and the quality manager said if you can carry it, no problem, talking about me having a girlfriend in addition to my wife.

The DCC asked me to bring the wedding card if I’m ready to marry a second wife. Funny people in the office. I later told them that she’s my cousin.

That was how beautiful my day was.
