The High Priest With A Difference
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; — Hebrews 7:26 (KJV).
Jesus is the High Priest for everyone that believe. He's holy, harmless, separated unto God and the highest.
In the old testament priesthood, the high priest was not holy enough to stay in God's presence continually, that's why ropes were tied to his feet in case he dies while in the holy of holies. As such the sinners whose intercession was carried out were not entirely sure of remission of sins. But today, we have Christ the holy and perfect High Priest, sited forever in the holy of holies, making intercession for us, Hallelujah! We can talk to God directly because we have an everlasting advocate: The man Jesus. He knows where it hurts us because He has been a man. We can call God, Abba Father because we are joint heirs to the everlasting High Priest. We can offer ourselves to God in total service because Christ has made us priests to God. He that is holy has made us holy. This is our heritage and birthright in Christ Jesus.
He's harmless. This implies that He's not sited to condemn us but to justify the most vile sinners with His blood. His blood speaks for us everyday, provided we stay in Him. Don't stop abiding in Christ because the benefits are not worth losing for anything on earth.
Jesus is without blemish. He knows how to make us pure before God because He's undefiled, Hallelujah. Brethren, as He's so are we in this world. Are you in Christ? If yes, you are spotless like Him. Don't compromise that standard for anything. Don't be distracted by the world system, Christ has cleaned up our mess and made us sinless before the Father.
We need to be separated, because Christ our Saviour is separated unto the Father in total holiness. We must totally surrender our lives and destroy every entanglement with the flesh. We must lay down our ideas, philosophies, reasoning, wisdom and knowledge at the feet of Christ. We must be separated from ourselves, that the power of God may overwhelm our broken flesh. We must learn to let go of what the world system has taught us, so we may learn higher things from the Holy Spirit. We are privileged to be in Christ.
Come to Christ today, all you sinners. He will bring an end to your selfishness and give you a new life full of mercy, grace and power.
Let us pray. Abba Father, thank you for the redemption package. Please overwhelm us with the knowledge of this truth both in good times and difficult moments of life. Help us to know more of you daily, in Jesus's name. Amen. Stay pure, beloved.
