CARE WITH ELOQUENT FRIENDS BUT INCORRECT

Greetings and blessings. Welcome to my blog. Surely you are a person who surrounds himself with other people who claim to be his friends, however, when he has had to live a difficult, complex and difficult situation, he longs for some of those friendships to come to help him. The worst case scenario is that in this complex situation, instead of receiving help from your friends, you receive criticism and murmurs and even unwanted gestures that do not help you at all.

That is exactly what happened with our brother Job. He had three friends, Eliphaz, Bilda and Zofar, who learned about Job's sad situation and felt a deep burden for comforting his old friend. What they saw was worse than they expected. They startled, cried loudly and tore their layers in deep mourning. Finally, they sat next to Job and remained silent for seven days (Job 2: 11-13).

However, as soon as they opened their mouths, Job's visitors were not very helpful. They judged their deplorable situation as a direct consequence of their sin, and strongly insisted that adversity only affects the wicked and not the innocent. Job did not suffer for having failed the Lord or for having done something wrong. For that reason, he rejected his diagnosis and maintained his faith in God.

In the end, the Lord had the last word and rebuked Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar (Job 42: 7-9). When God restored Job, He gave him twice what He had lost, He showed that He and His promises are faithful forever. He also showed that blessings for obedience do not guarantee a life free of adversity.
