🎨 Artefact - original painting
We live between the act of awakening and the act of surrender. Each morning, we awaken to the light and the invitation to a new day in the world of time; each night, we surrender to the dark to be taken to play in the world of dreams where time is no more.
-- John O'Donohue
Artefact, 1995

40 x 50 cm / 15.75 x 19.69 in

Great work as always, @gric. Last night, @vermillionfox and I watched Hellraiser II. The labyrinth scene with Leviathan, god of flesh looked so reminiscent of one of your paintings. I yelled "...that's Gric's!".
Thank you @kommienezuspadt! I guess I need to see Hellraiser II :-)
Rumi said
"Come out of the circle of time
And into the circle of love."
What then of other circles, such as the circle of trust? Does it fall within one of the above, or create a third circle?
To John O'Donohue, there is a circle of awakening and surrender.
How many circles are there?
Masterpiece!
Thank you Mirjana!
Very bleak and powerful. The colors and textures create a gritty atmosphere. It has a sci-fi feel to it. Very good work sir.
Thanks Pattoo!
Great painting and amazing atmosphere.
When I saw it - the first impression was that it is inspired by ' Zdzislaw Beksinski ' paintings.
Check out his works, if you dont know the guy .
You will love them !
I know his work very well, and yes, some of his paintings were very inspiring to me.
wow this is really great the first timme i see some of your works, you are really amazing with a really great talent. eager to see more from you.
Thank you @yassinof!
I like how you included your sphere symbol in this painting like an Easter egg or a hidden signature. So clever and fun.
Yes, I've painted this sphere many times. It's my inter-dimensional space-time-craft. :-)
Neat-o. I’ll look for it now in all your other paintings.
wonderfully deep perspective on this. as always fantastic work Gric.
Thanks @supernal!
It is only the second painting I see made by you, but I'm loving them already. :)
Thank you @portalmine!
You sure know how to make things age.
