I posted the ink drawing of "The Soulless Warrior" some time ago.
Now here is the real deal:

@gric this is absolutely stunning.

Thank you Quirin!

Amazing work- i really liked seeing the close up images too, some very nice brush marks!

Thank you Ophelia!

mal wieder ein fetter geiler "Gric" !!!
cooler Umgang mit 3D Coat ... TOP :-)
keine Ahnung an was es liegt ...

I'd absolutely love to see your work incorporated into a scifi film.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your illustrations. The fusion of painting and airbrush is absolutely complimentary. The details are a feast for my eyes.

I understand the effort it takes to make such a mesh, much less a full painting. Thank you for sharing this, its absolutely brilliant.

In the first photo you look so proud. You deserve it!

Thank you!

I really love how you create 3d models as well for your painting concepts. I don't even want to imagine how long it takes to make a model that intricate, as well as the time spent on the drawing and painting. Your work never ceases to amaze me! Great job!

Thank you! I usually use these models for several paintings and I also I re-use them for new variations. For instance you will recognize the lower part of this in these two paintings:

Oh that is so fantastic! What a great idea! I have always wanted to invest in ZBrush but do not yet have a computer that could handle it. Is that the program you are using? I really like how you are able to get several works from them, and still have them look pretty different :)

Also, something I've noticed in your paintings and have REALLY enjoyed from seeing zoomed in details of your art, the textures are simply amazing. Is that from the gesso underneath? It is so beautiful.

The program I'm using is 3D-Coat. I tried ZBrush many years ago but didn't like its awkward interface. My computer is from 2010 and it still can handle these complex geometries quite well. Most important is a fast GPU and a lot of RAM.

That is awesome! My iMac surpasses all of the requirements by a lot, and it's around half the price of Brush. I have never heard of this one, but I think I might give the trial a shot. I've wanted to do 3D modeling for quite some time but I figured since sometimes Photoshop is a bit slow, a 3D program couldn't work on it. Good to know that's not the case. Thank you!

This is beautiful @gric!! I can almost feel its cold surface and breathe its metal smell. The first moment I looked at it I felt something strange, like I could smell it so deep that this smell would leave a taste of metal down my throat. Really weird feeling! Thank you for this!!

Thank you Ruth! :-)

Very impressive and unsettling. Tons of respect to you for making the models in 3D and using them as models for multiple takes and variations!

Thank you!

Very nice contemporary bucranium. Title could have been "Mechanical offerings".

Seeing you work always makes me humble. But I'm really amazed to have you and your works on the steemit blockchain. I especially like your drawings a lot.
