... a blanket of pure white. Omg, but driving in it totally sucks! Because of that, I'm pretty sure I'll only enjoy the snow for about a month before I start complaining about it. Yep, and it's reeeeeealy cold this morning so I'm just trying to stay warm. You know, baking is a great way to stay warm.

I’m sharing another family favorite recipe with you guys. So, technically these are cookie bars and not just cookies, but I figured it was close enough to qualify as cookies for cookie trays. My mom used to make these multiple times every year. Mostly for the holidays, but sometimes she would make them earlier in the year. The recipe is from a cookbook she used to have and it was called "Romance Cookies", so that’s what they’ve always been called in my family. They are delicious enough to make you fall in love with them, that's for sure. I'm not actually sure where they got the name but essentially they're pecan pie bars.
