Enriching lives through Steemit Uyo Community: Our success story so far
.
I'm delighted for to be a part of the Steemit uyo community and just recently we created a hub for the steemit uyo community (SOC). Being a part of SOC has changed my reasoning and shown me another perspective of life.
I joined Steemit as of last year October. I got the information concerning Steemit from @ishotz. At first, when I heard about Steemit, I was like 'meeh,' its a waste of time but I was considered @ishotz to be a business inclined person and he won't be talking about Steemit if it wasn't profitable. So I gave it a shot. He created the account and it was approved in the next two days. After a week passed by, I made my first post. I didn't quite know the rules to follow because I was new at this and no one was there at that time to direct me or lend me a helping hand. Well, my first post was a turndown. I made $0.00 on my first post with 17 upvotes. I was discouraged and that was how i abandoned my account and left it dormat for two months plus not until december 2017.
It was a holiday period and i could take a break from school and it's stress. Earlier on, @ishotz had invited me to several meet-ups on Steemit uyo community, but i hesitated on going. During the december break, i decided to give Steemit another try, this time i read and understood the rules and I made other posts. I had about 1-2 $ on a post and I was pleased with, it wasn't much but it was a start. Sometimes I got up to $0.5 on a post and i was still glad, it was still better than my first post.
I was directed and guided in my work from some fellow steemians from the Steemit uyo community (SOC) and I made progress in my work. I got good and improved on my posting. I was even lending advice to newbies who just joined Steemit. I gave them ideas on how to enrich thier steemit lives, I helped them understand the concept of curation rewards and how they can get more readers.

I was still improving and enriching my steemit life when I joined the Steemit uyo discord channel and met with my fellow steemians from uyo community. Steemit uyo community (SOC) has been the bedrock of my success and I'm delighted to be a part of them.

SOC has expanded in numbers and is growing rapidly. Just recently, we created our accelerator hub with free wi-fi and it's convenient enough to accommodate more steemians in the society. Thanks to @ejemai, @stach, @samstickkz and so many others for making this a success. SOC is growing rapidly and so is the Steemit community in whole. Here are some pictures of SOC's accelerator hub.

I don't consider Steemit as just a 'come and make money' network but i see it as a family in joint variations. We are contributing to promoting Steemit and enriching lives in our community and we also wish to expand our influence not just here.
Thanks to steemit, my reasoning has a new level and thanks to SOC. Making a solo run all by yourself on steemit will make you go faster, no doubt but together, you can go a long way.
Special thanks to @ifioklee, @samstickkz, @isotz, @futurethinker for improving my blogging skills and enriching my steemian way.
