Achievement 2 : Basic Security On Steem

Hey steem users! I am back in my achievement 2. As I am a new user on this community and days back I completed my achievement 1 so today I am writing my Achievement 2.

Ok, this achievement is about to answers some basic security questions on steem. So lets me answer these questions.

Question 1:

Have you retrieve all your keys on Steemit?

---

Yes, I have retrieved all of my passwords/keys on Steemit and I saved them securely on my mobile, laptop, and google drive.

Question 2:

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

---

Yes, I have read all about keys which is mentioned above and understood their way of work and functions. Let's me explain about them.

Posting Key:

---

The posting key is too much important for us as it is used to log in to the Steemit account. And besides this, it also allows us to post in our account, to comment on someone’s post, and also it is used to give votes to other accounts.

Active Key:

---

Active Key also plays an important role for us in order to do sensitives tasks like converting of Steem Dollars, transferring the funds and also if we want to update our profile details then we use this key.

Owner Key:

---

The owner key is the most capable and powerful key. The owner key is used when we want to change our other keys. And it is also used for the recovery of accounts. I saved this key in my mobile’s protected and locked folder so that no one can get access to it easily.

Memo Key:

---

Memo key is used to encrypt and decrypt messages, especially when we transfer our funds then we use this key for encryption and decryption of memos.

Question 3:

How do you plan to keep your master password?

---

As the master key is too much important for us. We use it to generate all other keys, so we can’t leave it without any security. So to secure this key I kept it in the laptop’s folder where no one can easily get access. I also saved it in my private note note-file.

Question 4:

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, I know well how to transfer my steem token from my account to another steem user account. Below, I outline the steps we can take to send the steem token.

1. Open your Steemit account.
2. Now go to your wallet.
3. Here, you’ll see STEEM written at the top in the Balances tab.
4. On the right side of STEEM click on the dropdown menu and select the option Transfer.
5. Now, a tab will be opened which asks you where you want to send your steem tokens.
6. Now enter the details(like ID, Amount, etc.) and send.
7. That’s it.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

---

Yes, I know how to power up the steem. I am listing the steps which we can take to power up our steem.

1. Open your Steemit account.
2. Now go to your wallet.
3. Here, you’ll see STEEM written at the top in the Balances tab.
4. On the right side of STEEM click on the dropdown menu and select the option Power Up.
5. Now enter the key and amount here and that’s will be done.

So this was my Achievement. I do my best to answer these questions in easy simple words, so everyone can get them easily. I hope this will cause the best votes for me.
