Mojito, Really #1?

in #food8 years ago (edited)

I got out of work and was very hungry so, I drove to a new part of a small town and came upon a Mexican Restaurant. I was willing to give a try eating at a new joint that I did not know about.

I saw a sign displayed proudly on the window stating that The best Mexican Restaurant in this area in 2017.

So, I went through the restaurant and went out back at the outside seating area. The table I was seated was dirty so, I asked the seater to clean the table. she brings out a Windex spray and sprayed the plastic surface. I told her that the Windex is poisonous in using on the eating surface of the table.

I ordered the Veggie Fajitas with tortillas.

The veggies were way over cooked. Bean and rice was okay. I could not finish up the veggies because they were soggy and soft.

Then the waiter brought the check and he charged me for extra 2 dinner that I did not order nor eaten.

Overall, the service sucked and the food was so so.

I wonder how they got the best Mexican Restaurant status. They must be friends with the food inspector.

Anyway, I will not go back there.

Be chose in what you eat.

thanks for your post! sometimes in small inexpensive and unknown restaurants it is more pleasant to go , than in the road. and prices do not bite)))

Taco Bell food tastes better than this pricey place.

Best of "soggy veggies" - too bad. Some places really suck on vegetarian options. Maybe that was it.

For sure. I have an option to pick fresh leafy veggie right from a garden now from a friend of mine. So, no comparison in freshness.
