The Diary Game of 04/05/2024: Traditional Marriage of A Closed Friend by @hannybanny/10% to steemkidss
Welcome to this beautiful day the Lord has made fellow steemit friends. How are you doing both physically, mentally, financially and spiritually? I hope we are waxing stronger everyday?
I want to take us through a traditional wedding I attended. The lady is more or less like a sister from another mother. Let's get started.
I woke up not early as usual because it was a weekend and I had an all-night program in the church. I came back very early in the morning and decided to rest for atleast 3 hours though l did not sleep with my two eyes closed. I only lie down to rest my nerves from the stress over the night. I finally get out of bed after 3 hours that is between 6 - 9am. I arranged myself and did the needful so as to catch up with time.
The bus that will convey us to the venue of the traditional wedding was to move by 11am because it was out of town and we needed to be there life for the event. Though we had a little challenge on the road, our vehicle tyre busted on the road and we thank God for our driver that was an experience driver. He quickly changed the tyre and off we moved and finally reach the venue on time.
On getting to the venue, Akpautong in Esit Eket Local Government Area, the decorators were still decorating the venue and we had to wait for a very long time. While waiting for the program to start we started taking group photograph.
At about 5pm the MC of the event showed up and the program started in earnest. Opening prayer, welcoming of the guest and introduction of personalities to the high table. The grooms family were introduced to the bride's local food and every other person had their food and drinks.
The bride's parents were dance out to kick start the event, followed by the groom and finally the bride. It was so colourful, different set of people in groups and their uniforms came out to Grace the occasion. It was traditional marriage to attend though I didn't see end of it but I believe it was a success.

By the time the bride showed up, we were set to go because of our distance. I could not even has a chance to take picture with the bride and groom. The event was a hug success anyway. The journey back to our destination took us three hours because it was night.
When I finally got home it was just for me to take a cool shower and get ready for bed. I really enjoyed the day for it has been a while since I attended an occasion like that.
In conclusion, it is good to go out for an event because in so doing you learn one or two things from outside your vicinity. Thank you all for paying attention to my story.
