Earning a pilot's license is easier than you would think!
Hey Steemers!
Thought I would share my story of flight lessons because it is good for people to know how possible it is for most anyone to get their license to fly. I started at the age of 16 years old in a cessna 152 (yeah... the reallllly small one). It was pretty cool, even got to land on the 3rd or 4th lesson. The idea was sparked from my family that lived close to an airfield by Daytona Beach, FL. Turned out that people can begin lessons at the age of 16 and only have to be 17 to get their license.
Here I was last year (Just turned 26)... still learning with 22 hours up in the air. Unfortunately, when I was 16 I had to quit due to a lack of funds, but I plan on picking it back up again and finishing this summer! It's a great hobby if you have the money. All it takes is some studying, which I'm sure most of you are very good at, and practice.
Once one gets 20 hours in the air, and feels comfortable, they can do solo flight. You have to learn basic maneuvers, including stalls, slow flight, and turns. Now these are a little harder than it sounds, but its all about how much practice you get anyways. Right?
The above image is a more difficult maneuver that commercial pilots have to know (flawlessly), but if you just want your private pilot's license it's not nearly as hard. After 40 hours of flight you can test for the license (written and observed). It costs about 180 an hour where I'm from, but prices vary and you can join clubs, like the civil air patrol, that will give discounts (when I started it was 120... darn inflation!).
Hope you enjoyed steemers! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Brad, aka @hansenator I'm so happy you found your way to steemit through your good friend @vegansilverstack I am following him and his wonderful posts. I see you have a several High Quality posts. KUDO! Steem is beautiful because of our community.
Here is a link that will help you with steemit: https://www.steemithelp.net/
Will this be your next car when you get your license?
Lol. Awesome. Thanks for the support. Hope you enjoy what is to come and I will be following you as well!
Wow, I didn't know this about you man! Congratulations and I hope you do finish. Then you can take me for a (ride)? haha Oh also totally buy that car that @steemisbeautiful posted. I'll go in halvsies with you! HA!
Sounds good. Probably should fly to the Bahamas!
Sounds awesome.
Awesome another pilot! I'll follow you. I fly ultralights and believe me it's very cheap flying. It really doesn't have to be expensive.
I'm flying a Eurostar right now. It's a 2 seater with a bubble canopy and is very manoeuvrable.
You can see a video about me flying it here. I'll also answer any questions about costs. It cost me £3,000 for my licence and flying is cheap in the Eurostar

Nice. I'm sure your post are going to be really cool if you're a pilot. I still need to finish my licence and tutorials. Haha.
Congrats!!! Now just a random question... Could you now fly a passenger airliner straight into the middle of one of the WTC Towers?
Well... Burning and dying really isn't my thing, so I think not. Lol. Thanks for the resteem/follow, got you back!
@sanchez, hey man, quick question, can't 'steem' to find the answer anywhere, HAAAAAAAAAAA! When you resteem something, does it in any way cost the resteemer? lol
Sorry bro, I have noooooooo F-ing idea either what's up, I'm more worried about getting myself off of Facebook Youtube MSM and starting new connections here at Steemit. Already seems that 100% of people here have a clue. Great change, I'm from Southern Cal where 99% have no clue! Hahahaha!
Awesome Mr. Jetson.
Thanks! Haven't seen The Jetsons since I was 12 haha.
Hey everyone! I just want to say thank you for all of the upvotes, I really appreciate it! Never thought a post could explode like this.
Dude! Congrats on this one, holy cow!
Thank you. Now we just have to figure out how to repeat it!
This was you man, I take no credit!
