Introducing @Tonesquare's Hansik House Character Commission // 톤스퀘어님이 그려주신 캐릭커 커미션!

Illustrating Our Aspirations

When @tonesquare first joined Steemit a few months ago, we were super excited to see the start of so many talented artists from Korea coming onto the website. Who could forget the introduction of Steemit Girl? Since then, a great number of practitioners have joined the community as I've showcased in some of my previous Lost in Translation posts (#1, #2).

From his first post, my wife and I immediately entertained the idea of collaborating with him for a custom image to represent Hansik House. Beyond our Steemit articles, Hansik House is a podcast and non-profit social organization dedicated to developing contemporary Korean culture. We do a number of in-person events a year and we always needed a more personable solution to our advertising other than the black-and-white logo. Doing a more caricatured and fun example seemed the perfect direction.

So, without hesitation, we reached out to Tonesquare, set up an exchange, and eagerly waited several weeks for him to perform his masterwork. Last night, he finally unveiled the awaited work and we wanted to share it with you all-

We're thrilled by the various avatars that @tonesquare has made for us and our future prospects of using them for diverse events and applications. We're even considering using it for our wedding invitations come the spring!

I think Tonesquare got all aspects of our relationship down. Our “Welcome to Hansik House” side, the “Beat Up Michael for Being Foolish” side, and the intense “Let's Figure Out How to Change the World” side.

We'll be definitely sprinkling these characters in future posts. Sending our love from New York and THANK YOU @tonesquare!

항상 저의 캐릭터를 갖고 싶었습니다. 스팀에 톤스퀘어님이 조인하시고, 올리는 포스팅 캐릭터를 보고 커미션을 부탁드렸습니다. 처음 저희의 사진을 보내드리고 캐릭터 상호작용, 복장을 말씀드렸습니다. 와이프님과 다투는? 그런 콘셉에는 눈에 멍 있는것이 정말 귀엽고, 저희와 닮은 듯 괜히 정이 갑니다. 지인들과 이벤트할 때, 또 함께 한식 하우스 활동 할 때 이 캐릭터를 종종 사용할 계획입니다. :)
