Steemit Is Now More Of Connection. Steemit Is Fast Becoming A True Community.
Steemit is a social network that rewards your content by making the crowd the beneficiaries of the attention economy. This is achieved by rewarding users with STEEM.
Over 90% of people on Steemit joined the platform based on the sole fact that the platform rewards for voting and blogging thus the motto Vote, Blog and Earn. We fail to realize Steemit is not a get rich fast platform.
Yes, It is a platform that rewards you for your creativity yet it's a platform that pays more for your hard work. The truth be told the community is now far more than just vote, blog and earn because Steemit is no longer a pond with few fishes, it is now more like an ocean with an enormous amount of fishes. The sooner we realize this the better.
I was not on Steemit not until after hardfork19 but taking a look at blogs written a year ago I saw some blogs having a earning of over $5,000 which is almost what some veteran Steemians now earn in a month according to Steemwhales.com.
Every newbies or minnow should understand that growth and earnings on Steemit solely depend on how well you interact and relate to the people in the community. Your growth can also be very rapid if you have something peculiar to offer; a normal thing in every community. Don't be surprised if a newbie less than a month on Steemit is earning far more than a Steemian that has blogged for over 3 months.
I'm not trying to say Steemit does not promote good content, all I'm trying to say is without building a good relationship with people your good contents might never reach the target audience because there are over 50 if not 100 new blogs on Steemit per minutes( you can check the new tag to confirm this assertion) it is therefore close to impossible to read every post on Steemit all in the bid to curate good content. All you can do is pick post randomly on the new tag at which you read and probably follow the writer if you like his/her content.
Anyone bringing a new participant to Steemit should, therefore, school their newbie properly that Steemit is not a get rich quick platform. It takes time and commitment to actually earn on Steemit and they should be well advised to give reasonable comments on the posts of Steemians not necessarily veteran.
My first meet with @stellabelle was when I commented on @ogoowinner's post where she gifted me 20SBD and upvoted all my post that was still within the payment date. We should make them understand the power of creating a network of relationship because their growth and earning depends on that.
If they have a good understanding of the platform then they will be in for a long run.
This post was inspired by @oluwoleolaide the beginning of the end of Steemit minnow.

Tell me, is Everything Right?
I mean should it be more of connection?
Regardless of your opinion, the end will judge
@honourmaus, try and be explicit! What is not right? Why can't steemit be about connection? Why are you waiting for: 'the ends justify the means' kind of argument?
You and i met through steemit connection. We've been steemit friends and communicate fine on whatsapp. We have also met so many people on this platform. While the monetary factor seems to be the driving force, we should not get lost in the process. Friendship and connection matters. We should look beyond Steemit because in the end, one thing will matter and that is US - HUMAN!
You relayed my point better @smyle. I think we should all understand that connecting with people is essential in every facet of life so why should Steemit be exempted? @honourmaus.
I need you
You need me
I need you to survive
Thats life itself Bro.
