Before answering if the Zeigarnik effect is detrimental or beneficial to the development of people, we actually need to know what "Zeigarnik effect" is all about.

Zeigarnik effects is a concept in psychology which states that people tend to remember incomplete or interrupted tasks or activities more than completed tasks. This simply means that there is high chance of you forgetting the tasks you've successfully accomplished but you can never forget the tasks you haven't completed or fulfilled.

When this is related to personal development, I believe it is a highly beneficial to the development of people as it serves as a means of motivation to avoid giving up on whatever you do. The early scientist and every successful people of today all practiced the Zeigarnik effect which had enabled them achieve their goals.

In conclusion, I hope everyone start embracing the theory of Zeigarnik effect as this will make them achieve their goals and become successful in anything they do because they won't feel satisfied or relaxed until they've achieved their aims or purpose.
