What are the dangers of sea-foods?

Sea foods are natural foods known for their delicious taste with great nutritional value. I love sea foods a lot most especially when it comes to eating fishes, prawns and crabs. I love cooking my soup and vegetables with sea foods because they add more taste and aroma to my food making it very delicious for consumption.

We all know this what has advantages must surely have it's disadvantages. This danger has led to the main reason why some people dislike sea foods but as for me it's a different case because I still consume sea foods a lot.

I will be sharing some of the dangers of sea food based on some of my personal researches and experiences which I have gathered from different people regarding the dangers of sea foods. These are some of the below dangers of sea food.

1) It may contain harmful chemicals which affects the health. There are some sea foods like fishes which are imported from other countries into our country and these fishes are usually preserved with the use of chemicals and other materials just to make them look better despite the fact they might had stayed for like 2-3 months during the shipping process. The sad fact is that this chemicals may cause more harm than good in the body.

2) Some sea foods like shark and sword fish are very high in mercury which may damage your health.

3) Some contaminants found in sea food such as PCBs and dioxins has led to the cause of cancer and reproductive problems.

I don't think the little danger involved should stop us from eating sea food but we just have to be very careful by engaging in proper preservation regarding the sea food we may intend to eat next time or later. We should also ensure we wash the sea food very well and clean before processing them for consumption since this will surely helps help us protect ourselves from the dangers involved.
