Silent woods.
A morning walk in the woods, northern Norway.
Saturday last weekend we waked up early and decided too take a walk/exercise in the woods. Around 7 o'clock in the morning we was on our out.
It was low clouds and no wind, and almost complete silence. From time to time we could hear some birds signing from the trees. Halfway up to the viewpoint as was the goal for the walk we could hear the sound from a cuckoo. I heard the cuckoo for the first time earlier this week. When the cuckoo sing I always get a feeling of summer.
In norhtern Norway the spring is short. The weather almost shift from spring to green summer within a couple of days. Now a week later it is quite green in the lowland.
Up in the mountain there is still lots of snow. From around 150 meters above the sea we met the snow. If we get stable temperature above 10 degrees celsius during the day and night, the snow hopefully melt fast.
Higer up there still was ice on the ponds.
Low clouds hide the higher mountains.

A little rest while waiting for the humans.
6 kilometers done, 11 o´clock and the whole day ahead of us. The not so funny part is some of the day have to be used to cleaning the house.

There are beautiful and very interesting shape trees. You have such great shots of them. Now in spring I thought that there will be more singing birds but maybe it was too early. Might be unusual to have silence :)
Thank you very much @stef1. It was early in the morning after a night with rain. Later in the morning, when the weather got better more birds was singing. Silence is nice 😊
