You think you know Business? Learn from my little experience.

Read every line. Don't skip a word!
I wasn't inspired by any external factor to write on this topic. My business experience in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, has given me a whole lot to share with my fellow entrepreneurs. But, I'll make it brief.
I began my journey as a young business man in Asaba, Delta state a couple of years back, but for the sake of studies, I had to mobilize resources and move down to Uyo.
Note well, I never began my business life selling foot wears, I never started up managing wardrobes. My first business adventure was in Hair-styling. Yes! for goodness sake, I was both a hair-dresser and a barber, and I did this for years. image

I may not have been great at it, but I sure know a lot of customers kept coming to our salon to get their hair fixed. I had to manage all manner of hairs and the odours that came with them. Funny, right? But I succeeded in it. image

About 2years after I decided to raise capital for a new line of business which has been on my mind for years. Not much to say about the incubation period but I started off selling ties for men, lapels, broochs and socks. Guess what? It didn't yield much returns on investment but I continued until I was able to raise enough money to go into foot wears. image

Now, I deal on footwears.™Heightz Collection® is a brand name. Uyo people don't actually like expensive stuffs, they'd rather buy the 'Ok'-fairly used- or patronize the famous Plaza, but some how, I still get to sell my products. No offense to you my wonderful host, the indigenous people of Uyo.
This is not my success story, for I'm yet to hit my target which is being a successful billionaire devoid of accusations of fraudulence.
Here ends my story, and now comes the lessons:

Be persistent in your business and don't let the little profit discourage you. Nevertheless, don't give room for fear of adventure. It's adviceable to be flexible in business even in the midst of persistency. Try new grounds after monitoring the direction of sales.

Money is not always the 'end'. Like my boss will always say, "concentrate on building your brand". If you do this, I believe the money may not always come in bulk but your reputation will definitely be laudable. Look for some other qualitative reason other than money to keep you in the business.

Business man

Nice one dear. I will soon patronize you o. Be ready for me.

I look forward to fitting your feet

Really an inspiring post, why people fail in business is because the look at the monetar aspect of it instead of adding value. Value comes with the money, if there’s value in ones business then people will surely patronize it. Everything you have said in this post is pure facts.

Inspired.. Money is not always the end
