Oils Ain't Oils......Olive oil...or not??

I had no idea this was an issue but apparently there is big money being made in substituting "real" Olive Oil with cheap crap.

Some brands listed below that I thought were good quality brands, and that I have bought before and will most likely NOT be buying again.

These brands did meet extra-virgin olive oil standards:

• California Olive Ranch
• Kirkland Organic
• Lucero (Ascolano)
• McEvoy Ranch Organic

The following brands which were labeled extra-virgin failed to meet extra-virgin olive oil standards:
• Bertolli
• Carapelli
• Filippo Berio
• Mazzola
• Mezzetta
• Newman’s Own
• Pompeian
• Rachel Ray
• Safeway
• Star
• Whole Foods
