Hello to the whole community, I have been asked by many people about what orthodontic treatment is and we can define it simply.

Podemos decir que la ortodoncia y la ortorpedia dentofacial es una especialidad de la odontología, que se orienta a obtener la función, salud y estética en los pacientes, previamente diagnósticados con alguna maloclusión.

We can say that orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics is a specialty of dentistry, which is oriented to obtain the function, health and aesthetics in patients, previously diagnosed with some malocclusion.

Los dientes apiñados, separados, girados son difíciles de cepillar, esto contribuye a la formación de caries, gingivitis, enfermedad periodontal y hasta pérdida de los dientes, por otro lado la malposición, provoca una maloclusión que deriva en una mordida anormal de la articulación temporomandibular que puede producir chasquidos, neuralgías, dolores musculares de cara y cuello, que suelen confundir con migrañas.

Crowded, separated, turned teeth are difficult to brush, this contributes to the formation of cavities, gingivitis, periodontal disease and even tooth loss, on the other hand the malposition, causes a malocclusion that results in an abnormal bite of the temporomandibular joint that can produce clicks, neuralgias, muscular pains of face and neck, which are often confused with migraines.

El tratamiento consiste en cementar en la superficie del esmalte del diente unos dispositivos llamados brackets, tanto en superios como en inferior, el los dientes permanentes, y el tratamiento durará dependiendo de la complejidad del caso.

The treatment consists of cementing devices called brackets on the surface of the tooth enamel, both on the upper and lower teeth, and the treatment will last depending on the complexity of the case.
