She thought, come up with the answer to this one if you can. A cup of tea isn’t going to make a whole lot of difference, except that I’ll have a few cents less in my pocket after I’ve finished drinking it.

She sipped the scalding liquid, musing about how strange it was the childhood memories came back so strongly in times of trouble. She thought of her mother often, of course, the dark-haired, lovely woman had been in her daughter’s childhood years. Her father tried not to think of at all; it hurt too much to remember him.
