Greetings
I am a bit behind with my drawings, but I do not want to abandon the challenge. This is my drawing for the third and fourth prompt in Jake Parker's #Inktober2020/ #Inktober52. Prompt No5 is already out, but that will be for another post.

Saludos.

Process/Proceso:

The word brick brought a wall as an automatic reference. I entertained political ideas about brick wall that divide people, etc., but then I decided to keep it simple.

I hate snakes; I have my fair share of traumas with those animals. I grew up ina town where snakes thrived. We had to learn to kill them at an early age. I decided to draw this one swallowing a brick. You can go wild with the symbolic implications of such an action, but again, I just wanted to draw something shocking, which in actuality would go along with what snakes can do.

I was tempted not to use ink with this one. I am still very insecured about my skills. Charcoal is so much maleable and offers so many easier possibilities for difumination, etc. But, here it is.

Hope you like it.

Espero que les guste.

Hello @hlezama, thank you for sharing this creative work! We just stopped by to say that you've been upvoted by the @creativecrypto magazine. The Creative Crypto is all about art on the blockchain and learning from creatives like you. Looking forward to crossing paths again soon. Steem on!

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it

Excellent work, @hlezama. I love how you show your progress! You have such a great talent.

Thanks, @jayna. I must thank Steemit for providing the motivation to continue drawing. For years I stopped doing. I felt I did not have it in me anymore.

I do like this. It has a sort of Humpty Dumpty feel to it. Love the snake!

Thank you very much. Me too. As you can see in the early draft it sort of grew organically. I was not quite sure how I wanted it to look, so she kind of twisted her way in.
I like the Humpty Dumpty idea. Had not thought about it.

Organic growth is excellent. That's how some of the best ideas are formed.

Who is hosting this ? Jake Parker isn’t online since 8 months ago! So where do I find these prompts

I subscribed last October to an e-mail list and I get the prompts in my email, from an account identified as Jake Parker's. He, or the person identified as Parker, started this on Instagram (I do not have an Instagram account). As far as I know, no Steemit account is hosting the challenge, like @ocd did last October.

Note: It took me an hour to upload these simple pictures. Not easy to be a steemian from this part of the world
