Lahore is a city with profound history dating back to almost 8000 years. It is situated on the North East of Pakistan along the border with India. It serves as the Capital of of the Punjab province of Pakistan.

Lahore is known as the Heart of Pakistan as it was the city that passed the Pakistan Resolution (then Lahore Resolution) on March 1940 that laid the foundation for attaining a separate and independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent under the British regime in India.
