Music Vlog - Lyrics Blog #02 - Gustav Mahler's 6th symphony:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
todays Music Vlog wants to give you some special feeling, that gets under the listeners skin!
For those of you, who aren't familiar with classical music. This is Mahler, he is my favorite composer, when we talk about symphonies!
His music is soo emotionally condensed, that I always get a prickle on my skin, especially listening to his 9th or 6th symphony.
In addition to that, very special moments and thoughts are tied to Mahler's music in my life.
Especially the 2nd symphony left special marks in my life and memory ... which you can read here!
Symphony No. 6:
- Satz: Allegro energico. Heftig, aber markig
- Satz: Scherzo. Wuchtig
- Satz: Andante moderato
- Satz: Finale, Sostenuto - Allegro moderato - Allegro energico
Originally the Scherzo was in second position, but later Mahler always preferred a Version with the Andante part first and the Scherzo in third position. However the Andante is so full of emotional intensity, that you should definitely listen to the whole symphony, if you have time and muse!
La Sinfónica de Galicia also give a very bright and brilliant performance, conducted by Dima Slobodeniouk!

A strange and haunting symphony. Austrian Fin de siècle craziness, and loads of percussion + the hammer.
5, 6, and 7 are my favourites together with the unfinished 10th 1 movement. Nice with a little music here on Steemit :)
Oh yeah! The hammer in the last movement is really crazy and weird!
