So I went to social dancing... Tango vs Swing? (video included)
Yes I love dancing and currently I'm practicing to dance swing. Besides cycling it's probably one of my favorite hobbies I currently have.
There's no better place to practice your moves than at a social dance party.
If anyone wonders what social dancing is then it's basically a party where everyone just wants to dance. Little alcohol involved and unlike a bar og a disco there's certain norms going on that makes experience truly pleasent andno risk of people wondering of the person in front of you just want to make out.
A few rules there are common to follow on the dance floor
-People just wants to dance and nothing more, yes you talk it is an intimate activity but few times it means nothing more than just a bit of fun.
-If you dance more than 2 times with someone, usually that could spell love is in the air.
-When you are done with a dance, you just go ask another one. Yes it can feel very exposing the first couple of times but then it starts feeling natural
-Being a male has the advantage of you are the leader of a dance. That means the follower will do what you do. This means even if you are dancing with a more experienced partner you can safely stick to what you know of moves... The followers(usually women) just have to do their best and follow and its perfectly normal if the male is more experienced that he will find the level of the woman so both can enjoy
Swing and Tango at the same party... Now that's a sight!
At this party there were both swing and tango going on in 2 rooms just besides each other. A lovely contrast of a dances.
I can see Tango like a language of passion.
And swing as a language of laughter.

It was such a funny contrast and I gotta admit swing is more my thing! Although Tango was cool to come at look at when I had to cool down a bit from the high energy of swing.

I love music and all things dancing! How great to learn about social dance AND its rules! :D Your video made me smile and also made me want to dance some swing! Although I am drawn to passion, I think laughter has a greater pull on me :)

@holm, the dancing cyclist :D I had no idea man. Sounds like an unusual combination but they are both sports and I am a huge fan of everything that requires physical activity so why not. Good to see you posting after some time, hopefully, you will be more active here :)

Haha yeah it is a bit a newer thing but it has hooked me for a while now! Swing is especially good activity to blow some steam off!
I hope I will find the time again! Usually I'm like a boomerang when it comes to steem, and I like it that way :))
