South African President Jacob Zuma resigns

South African President Jacob Zuma has announced the resignation of the ruling party ANC, through which the nine-year regime ended.
The African National Congress (ANC) gave the ultimatum to face Jupiter's resignation on Wednesday, or to face confidence vote in Parliament on Thursday.
Later, in a speech, he said that he disagreed with the way the ANC had created a way to advance its future by choosing Cyril Ramaphosa in the party presidential election in December. But he is accepting the direction of the party.
The 75-year-old Juma was under pressure to resign for some days due to various allegations of corruption.
According to the BBC, one of the main reasons for Juma's resignation before the general elections held in South Africa in 2019 is its affiliation with the wealthy Indian-born businessman Gupta family.
The South African influential family is accused of having a great influence on the country's politics for their business privileges with the opportunity of friendship with President Zuma.
