On Sunday 17 April, the final of the competition "The most beautiful village in Italy" was held, a competition that takes place on Rai 3 with the programme "Kilimangiaro", a competition in which about 20 villages from all over Italy competed, and in the end, to my great joy, the village where I was born almost 40 years ago won.

I don't remember if I did an article here presenting this village, but I'm very happy about this victory, because I hope in this way that the village will get more publicity in terms of tourism and that it will not only be remembered for its wine but also for its monuments.

In this article, I would like to give you some information or suggest what not to miss about this place, such as walking along the main street of the village, called Via Roma, admiring the buildings along the way, and going back in time.

If you're lucky enough to be there on the third Sunday of the month, this street is always the scene of a large antiques market, with lots of exhibitors selling second-hand goods, books and much more.

And why not have a nice picnic behind the castle in these beautiful vineyard fields that you see here in the photos at this time of year are full of yellow flowers.

And since you are only a few metres from the entrance to the castle, I recommend that you visit the interior, because from the keep you can see a beautiful panorama where you can take beautiful photos.

I will leave you with the beautiful walk I took a few months ago near the castle, an excellent excursion for a future visit.
