the largest market in Verona
Every first Sunday of the month, I always go for a walk in Verona, where one of the largest and most important antique markets is organised, and last month I did the same. I left early, at sunrise, just to find a parking space, and I was also lucky because I found one right nearby, so with a short walk I arrived in front of the church of San Zeno.
The most famous antiques market in Verona takes place there, one of the most famous vintage markets and people come from all over the province but also from outside the region, as I was telling you it takes place every first Sunday of the month except August from 8:00 to 18:00, and you can find any type of antique and collectible goods in furniture, lamps, carpets, paintings and prints, maybe you can even get a bargain, but unfortunately this is not always the case.
There are friends who have also found properties from the 50s and have somehow managed to restore them and then resell them at a profit, but also vinyl records, old postcards, old cameras that could be worth a lot of money. In short, it is always full of people because everyone comes here to try to make a deal and give new life to these objects.
when I finished my tour, I also went to the religious service, which was held inside the Basilica of San Zeno, the church dedicated to the patron saint of Verona, one of the most beautiful masterpieces of Romanesque architecture in Italy, but in reality I wasn't so interested in the religious service, I was interested in observing the church from inside, but most likely later I will do a tour of all the churches in Verona and I will publish it on YouTube and maybe I will also put some videos here, it is impressive to know that this church was built as early as 362 when San Zeno was buried here.
