K2, Pakistan
With an altitude of 8,611 masl, K2 is the second highest peak in the world after Everest.
However, thanks to its enormous size, K2 is much harder to reach its peak.
If on Mount Everest there are about 500 people who managed to reach its peak, not so with K2.
For years, no one really made it to the top of K2.
On average, one in four K2 climbers died in an attempt to reach the top.
Not surprisingly, K2 is also dubbed Savage Mountain or the Mountain of the Buas.
Due to its difficulties and insecurity, K2 is a mountain never climbed during the winter.
