Club 100 || Steem Engagement Challenge W3-D2 || Ridan House of Mandi Review...
Food is a universal love language. People have different opinions on the love languages. For example some people prefer to show their love and gratification through gifts, some by spending time with you, some by spending money, some by laughing and talking with you. For me it's food.
I heard a quote a long time ago which stated:
How true is that. Atleast for me. If you want to show that you appreciate my existence, you love me, you can always feed me. It doesn't matter if the food is from an expensive cafe, or a homemade dish, what matters is the love that is there in the food. It's your effort that you've made to appreciate my existence, my love and my companionship.
The purpose of mentioning all of this above was to let you know how big of a foodie I am. I love to try new food from different places. Be it a continental cafe, fastfood or in general anything.
A very important thing while having food is the company. If you have your loved ones, friends or your family with you while you're dining, the taste and the quality of the food increases considerably.
I am a part of a group of 3 friends in which one of my friends never takes us out. It's been 8 years since we are friends and he's always stalled us on this matter. Last week, out of nowhere, he texted us that's he'll be taking us out to a restaurant of our own choice. We were shocked at first but in no time we took a hold on ourselves and told him our choice, before he could take back his decision. So the three of us, after a long argument visited a restaurant that they hadn't tried out before. That's the restaurant I'll be reviewing in this post. And that restaurant is:
RIDAN HOUSE OF MANDI

I'll start off by informing you all of the meaning of the word Mandi first. Mandi is a dish that first Originated in Yemen, adapted by the Arabic World, and is now the most famous Chicken and Rice dish all over the Asian as well as African Continents. The word Mandi basically means moist which refers to the moist and juicy texture of the meat.
The spices and the juice from the meat soak the rice beneath it, which leaves off a euphoric experience for the consumers. The Ridan House of Mandi has been adapted in Pakistan from the Arabic countries, so the arrangement of the restaurant, the sitting area, the service, and pretty much everything resembles the way it's in the Arabic countries. People who have been to the Arabic Mandi houses would conform with what I am saying
Everything here, ie basically been adapted to the Arabic culture. You get the same vibes from the food, the staff, the ambiance, and the aura in general. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by the receptionist. He'll let you know if they have vacant space, or do we need to wait. Once you move on from that, you'd move to the dining area. One would expect that the dining would be in a custom Pakistani, or in general any other restaurant in the world. But it's not like that, they have lots of cubicles of all sizes which can accommodate as many as 30 people in a single cubicle. Of course, if you're less in number, they'll allow you a small cubicle comparatively.

Once you're seated and have placed the order, the waiter provides you the complimentary Chicken Yakhni(soup) which you can devour. They have a wide variety of dishes which include Chicken Madbee, Chicken Mandi, Chicken Madfoon, Mutton Madfoon, Mutton Mandi.
After consulting one another, we decided to try both, the chicken and mutton dishes. So what we ordered was:
- Mutton Madfoon
- Chicken Mandi
- Qunafaah
- Soft drinks

Qunafah is a traditional Arabic sweet dish, which is made up of Sawwaiyah(Vermicelli) Milk, cream, and sweeteners. The Chicken and Mutton dishes had the option of being refilled as many times as we wanted.
MY EXPERIENCE ON THIS RESTAURANT
I have made countless food review posts on steemit and whenever I do, I make sure that I review the most important things associated with a food cafe and these are:
Food:
The food was exceptional. I have spent a huge chunk of my life so I know what Arabic cuisines taste like. The Mutton Madfoon was well cooked, soft, and juicy. The Chicken was also perfectly cooked. The addition of sauces on the rice gave it a whole new delightful taste which forced us to order the sauce and the rice again and again. The sweet dish, Qunafah, was mouth-watering. Had we been not full of the already consumed food, we'd have ordered another Qunafah. It was too good.
Ambiance:
One word. Inch perfect. The ambiance was too good. The atmosphere was cool and comfortable, the lighting was perfect, and the sitting arrangement was way too comfortable as well as private, which is a considerable point for me as I prioritize my privacy. The area was clean, and the pillows available for us to rest on were really comfortable as well
Service:
I didn't expect it to be that bad from a restaurant of this caliber. They had provided us with the best food but with the worst service. Maybe because it was a weekend and they had too many customers at one time? But then again, that's not the customers' issue, as a business owner it's your responsibility to provide your customers with the best service.
Overall, I'd rate:
- Food: 10/10
- Ambience: 9/10
- Service: 2/10
- Cost Effective: 8/10
Though the service wasn't up to the notch, I'd still recommend you all to visit this restaurant and try the original Arabic cuisines. I even made a video for you all to have a better idea of the restaurant you're visiting.

Thank you brother for going through my post
This is delicious Arabic cuisine, of course it is very halal for consumption. I like the proverb Mandi, if it's in Indonesia, mandi means wet, as you said, mandi is very suitable for our Indonesian language. that is, moist meat.
from the menu choices I prefer to eat, Mutton Madfoon, and Chicken Mandi. but noodles must be replaced with rice. will be very full.
thank you for sharing this culinary😍 good luck🙈
Yes indeed, it is very moist and very juicy. I'd prefer rice over noodles but I am sure noodles with meat would taste superb as well
maybe it's something new to strengthen the taste, great 😋
very delicious food
