Teary Hearty White Chocolate (Freewrite's Prompt - Tears)

in #fiction6 years ago

Below story will be the continuation of the previous story (part 2). If you have missed it, you may read it here.

Suddenly, a huge ice cream cone appeared on top of them and out of it came a sound said "Look for a heart-shaped chocolate piece in the pool and you will know what to do. Do not eat the chocolate. Only see you on the other side."

Without wasting any time, Marcus began to search the heart-shaped chocolate piece in that big pool of chocolate. He directed Matthias to be on the look out too. Waddling their arms, swinging front and back slowly in hope to touch any hard piece in the pool. Everytime they spotted one, it was just a sphere-shaped chocolate. The only difference was either it was with almond nut or it would be hazelnut.

Two hours had passed and so did Marcus' strength and zeal. He was nothing but tired and exhausted. It already took alot from them to swim in water, even more so in a pool of creamy chocolate. Thick and heavy.

"You will get lost, son. Many went and never return..." the voice of his mother rang in his ear as he was filled with disappointment. There was no heart-shaped chocolate piece at all. None. They had searched frantically but it was nowhere to be found.

"I am so sorry, Matthias. I am so sorry..." he said and tears started rolling down his cheeks as the thought of all of them stucked there forever overwhelmed him.

"I thought I could save all of you. It was in my dream," he added while more tears showed up. "Maybe it was just a dream after all."

While he was saddened, Matthias' countenance bloomed with light. Pointing towards Marcus' chest area. Marcus looked down and saw right in front of him at his chest, something floating on the creamy chocolate. It was so obvious because it was white chocolate in heart-shaped.

"It...it...was formed by your tears," said Matthias, filled with awe. "Simply magical."

Marcus grabbed hold of it tightly while remembering not to eat it. The ice cream cone appeared on top of them, this time without any talking voice, but some whoofing sound. When they saw the cone started to suck the creamy chocolate, they screamed in terror.
