Just had a quick look at what it's about:
" Cards and comments with "vote me 100" and asking for votes in any form will lead to deletion and their authors will be restricted from posting for 5-15 days;"
" Cards with promoting links or ads will be removed and their authors restricted from posting or banned;"
" A lot of similar comments like "hello", "nice" in one profile are considered as spam and deleted, their authors restricted from posting;"
So It's obviously not a free speech or decentralised platform.
Might as well use facebook.

Strangely none of the three post types you listed are particularly welcome anywhere - including here at Steemit! You deftly listed 3 clear instances of spam - however real freedom of speech is in no way threatened on Sola to my belief.

I think you missed my point. If anything or anyone can be banned then they will be.
It's what's called Murphy's law "If it can happen it will".
It's a slippery slope which always ends in a meltdown as we're seeing happen with facebook, youtube and Twitter.
So if you're going put your time and effort into building a presence and a following on some new platform, you want to be darn sure you're not going to be de-platformed after five or ten years or whatever just because someone in the company or someone who pressures them don't like or agree with what you have to say or the way you say it.

Why would a person puchase Sola from an exchange, what reason is there for someone to invest in this coin if they can get it for free? Steem has a hook people buy it for more SP, why should I buy Sola? I have an account made a few posts there but have not been back in several months.
Not in anyway dissing the site, just I didn't see a game plan, like instagram with crypto is a great idea, but what gives the coin value? I don't want to spend a bunch of time on something that doesn't take off so I put this next to LRBY Weku Trybe etc. Could take off into maturity but how much effort do i put into something with potential that might fail to move out of it's parent's basement?

Can I actually make any money on this site? The coin today is under one cent. I'm honestly asking I haven't been back in a while do you get like huge upvotes that make it worth it? Are you speculating on future price?

Good to see you! At this point I would think it is mainly crypto traders who are buying SOL, unless they are users who want to increase their power as we do with Steemit. But it is currency with a very real use case like steemit and also the ability to transfer your earning in SOL to an exchange to sell just like STEEM, so that seems pretty functional to me! On how much it earns, I recently saw a youtube video by papa pepper who made $20 in his first week, which sounds excellent! - there is apparently more traffic on Sola than steemit currently.
