The Doctor That Preach
Everyone could hear the loud sound of Dr. Fred preaching on his usual "thou shall not commit adultery" kind of sermon. People could clearly guess the title of his message whenever it's his turn to preach, little enough did they know his messages were a reflection of his weaknesses.
He wanted to save the young from the mess he has made of his life, only him knew the damage it has done to him, only him knew the wrong path it has guided him , only him knew how painful it is to know what's right but just can't do it. As an elderly man, he had counted his achievements but found them to be void, it had all being spent chasing after his lustful desire. Seeing youth on same phase gave him a heartache.
"Thank God my tinted glasses can't give me clear picture" he said when he perceived a girl gave him a wink. It would have easily thrown him to the ground wishing to get lay with her. "Thou say not commit adultery" he said it aloud to clear off the thought running down his mind. Just then people burst out laughing and imitating his words.
The tinted glasses he wore is mostly mistaken for fashion when it was actually his preventive measure from getting a bulge staring at the exposed leg of the females sitting at the front of the Auditorium.
"Only after age 60 do one realized this youthful desires were not worth the time" he said to the congregation. He knew he couldn't narrate his life story because they still hunted him. He knew God's commandments, infact from childbirth he had always recited them off heart but then keeping to them was his concern, not them actually the one specifically that said "thou shall not commit adultery" .
That's life, we preach what we wish to be, give directions we can't follow and help people when we know we are stranded from taking our own instructions. Such was Dr. Fred
He was not really a Dr. The title was a reflection of what he would have been at that time if he had not spent his life chasing the wind. He do quickly reply "my present state is the consequences of my actions in my youthful days" when he is asked why he never achieved his dreams.
Train up yourself for the future . The future starts now don't wait until everything passes it time, for there is time for everything.
A short message for the night.
