Should All Women Have Children?

The title of this post is inspired by the question asked in musio.io by @nancybriti "Should all women have children?"

Based on that question I want to write a story about women who have no children. My sister-in-law who has been married for approximately 13 years, is 6 years old above me, which I already have 2 children. I have 2 children, but he doesn't have children.

Actually, I never asked the reason why she chooses not to have children. Without explanation, I understood, because I had felt the same way when I had no children. Especially women, basically they really want to have children. For married women who do not have children, it seems they have shortcomings or are not legal to be a mother. They are only as a wife from a husband.

So is the story of my brother-in-law, actually, she really wants to have children, she is jealous of us who already have children, but he who has been married for a long time has not been blessed with a child. A family will not be complete if it has not been blessed with a child. There is still something missing.

However, she often tells about how she see his life choices, which tend to be judgmental, sometimes also blaming herself. Although in reality (facts) in this life, there are women who choose not to have children. That's actually not an option that comes from within them. because basically all married women want to have children. It may be due to other factors so they choose not to have children.

Sometimes in cases where a woman cannot get pregnant (does not have children), some husbands often judge her wife as barren and said to his wife inappropriate words.

The question "Should women have children"?

You as a husband, should not judge your wife who has no children. Because the reason he doesn't have children is not necessarily there on her, maybe you are the one who causes her to have no children.

By nature, because it is a gift from God. Humans can only try to have a child. Marriage is one factor for the existence of a child. However, it must be believed that the child is a gift from God. So therefore, you as a husband should not judge your wife, let alone blame her.

Don't judge your wife for not having children

Basically, children are not for everyone. Yes, there are women who do not miss or have the desire to get pregnant and become a mother.

When do many people question why women seem to be "against their nature", sometimes they just ask, "I really don't understand why people seem to think women should have children? What if the marriage fails, and always women who are trapped in taking care of children, live in poverty after sacrificing their careers and freedom of life, for the sake of silly dreams. "

"Forming and fostering a family, I think is important for survival in the past, but really not for now. This world is a mess. Bringing children into this chaos is selfish and irresponsible, "continued a (middle-aged) wife who don't have a child".

For women, "not wanting to have children" is not a decision, but something that has become a destiny

Sometimes some women have felt that she would not have children since she was little, where she felt and really knew that under any circumstances, she did not want to have her own children. But he likes children, and can be very close to several small children, who until now the children still think that he is their mother, so that their children consider him their grandmother, "said a wife who to this day not have children.

She is very happy to teach, and most of his work involves children. A cute child is one of the learning communities of street children where she is involved.

According to her, as a woman who does not have children she can focus on doing good things and become a parent for other disadvantaged children who live on the streets without parents, said a woman who does not want to have children.

He even said "My life is very complete. I have given a good life to many children, not only my own life. Selfishness has nothing to do with not wanting to have children. "

In this case, she strongly agreed. Being a parent for children alone does not necessarily make us better women, more than other women, she continued.

Don't assume women don't like children

Most of the women I interviewed, most of them enjoyed spending time with other people's children. They have many nephews, and enjoy their role as their aunt.

Like my brother-in-law, who until the age of three still had no children. But as an aunt, he did not refuse even to be happy if he was entrusted by his nephews. Not infrequently for days. I often leave my child to her. She is also happy because she has friends playing, not alone at her house.

So, therefore, do not exclude women who don't have children, because it is not their choice but they are sometimes destined not to have children. Because God knows who deserves to be given a child and who does not deserve a child. So the child is not for all women.
