Daily Video # 35, Life Talk EP 2: Breaking Out Of Negative Thought Loops
This is my 35th daily video, In this Video I describe two ways to help yourself get out of negative thought patterns. First Off I am not a licensed mental health professional. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THIS AS MEDICAL ADVICE. Please do not substitute this for professional help, this is merely for entertainment purposes.
Ok with all that out of the way, We all have bad days sometimes. What is often behind these bad day? Sure sometimes events in your day might not go the way you'd like them, but it isn't actually the events that make your day bad. It is your thoughts surrounding those events. IN a healthy chemically balanced body thoughts are the fuel for emotions and so it is our thoughts that control our emotions (If you havn't eaten in awhile or have other imbalances going on emotions can be driven by the body.) So it is important to learn some techniques to take hold of our thoughts. It is very easy to get stuck in a negative thought loop where you have the same negative thought over and over for an entire day.
Recently I have been spending too much time worrying about two chalazions I have under my right eye and not enough time actually treating them. Worrying about them isn't helping anything so I am trying to use two different techniques to redirect my thoughts elsewhere.
Check out the video to learn about these two techniques.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support, I have posted at least one video every single day for the last 35 days and its been an amazing journey. I am so glad to have you along with me. I plan on posting something to dtube every day for the foreseeable future.
Thanks Again
~Noah

They are both handy techniques - reframing is very useful if it feels authentic and the rubber band trick is one that I often give clients to support them in noticing when they are judging others or being negative about themselves.
It's also really important to have an emotional processing tool and my favourite is tapping (EFT), although there are many others.
