City center - 2016 Photo - Flashback
June 2016. A photo from Monastiraki, the well known Athens touristic center, taken in June 2016. Nowadays, when I visit this place I don't notice some essential change. Seems that the urbanscape is frozen and I don't really know if this is for good or for bad... Tourists are always there and life goes on smoothly, a reality that generates the illusion of time stopped. For a lot of people, this is a source of serenity but for me, it is sometimes the main reason for anxiety as I can not conceive the everyday life without any little change, whatever it could be this change that proves I 'm alive and consciously active. I like this photo because it determines this inner need to detect changes that prove reality is alive and not a virtual reproduction of the collective fear of any change in the everyday life.
